Some thoughts on blog...hiyee,
during ysd teaching, some of ur blog were used as illustration.
i wonder if any of u feel "invaded"... for that i apologise.
others have also expressed discomfort that "adults" are reading.
my perspective:
1. i read ur blog with the intention to know u. period.i think same goes for other "adults"... hope in the family of God... there are basic mutual trust and respect and good will.. no need to be too negative to always think the worse of pple of diff background out to harm u, judge u, criticise u... i.e. paranoid.
("adults": yes... do read their blog with positive attitute and with respect. learn from my mistakes, don't take them too seriously - they are thoughts of the moments, so no need to mark them for life for what they wrote... don't take them lightly either - they are written with sincerity, honesty and sometime deep passion... like what one calls itself... it is "pieces-of-me"... not the whole me... but honest piece of me...)
2. blogs have free public access, thus bloggers need to be perpared for them to be read. my journalism background holds firmly to this... if i see u in public, i have the right to take ur photo and publish in newspapers. same as in law: even if u are naked in ur own home, if u can be seen by neighbours, u commited the act of indecency
(bloggers: so... u can be sued for defamation libel, slander in ur blog... u can say it is ur private space... but it is not private coz it has public access... that is why, basic ettiqute need to be observed too... but no need to be too constrained.. rules are never restrictive to common folks but criminals... so if you are a normal nice person, occasional outburst without malice intention is okay... so u shan't have to fear the boundary at all.)
3
for those who prefer privacy but would like a space to express ur thoughts to selected friends, try using multiply or facebook.. like friendster?...
those u can choose to accept or reject access.
4. to me... having a space to express urself.. to sharpen ur identity is great...
as iron sharpen iron, friends sharpen one another. (proverb)
so... write on! as u write.. u become more precise and concise... and understand urself more... as u read... u understand and accept the other person's more. tag to encourage.. to show u care, etc...
finally... once again.. let's
uphold mutual trust and respect... esp we are in one God's family of love. read with the intention to know and to love... write with the intention of knowing oneself and trust others love... like many things in life.. blogs are neutral. in the hands of God's people.. it can used for Godly purpose...
